New Studio

Dear Listeners and supporters,

WWER has been on the search for a new home for a long time now. It’s been a difficult process to find a suitable location that we can afford. We have found what we feel is a good fit with our supporters at Hawthorn Mercantile. They have been very supportive and offered us space in exchange for on-air mentions.  They are also willing help with construction costs.

We had worked out a deal with a builder that was very financially suitable to our budget, but that deal has fallen apart. Construction costs have soared and the build-out of what we thought was a simple studio project is now far higher than we had anticipated. We are currently searching for a builder willing to work with us on a limited budget. But we have also realized that we simply must raise more money to pay for this project. Even the best deal is going to cost more than we have saved so far. We are going to need to raise about $20,000.

To that end, I have created a GoFundme page to start the ball rolling. We are working on some fundraising ideas too. We are looking for help of all kinds to raise this money:

• Builders willing to work with us on a limited budget, or willing to donate some of their time.
• Ideas for fundraising
• Volunteers willing to make those fundraising ideas happen!
• Grants
• Donations from individuals
