The Osprey have returned

It’s a Colonial Beach sign of Spring when the Osprey return. We celebrate their return each year with the annual Virginia Osprey Festival. In cooperation with the Virginia Osprey Foundation, WWER spoke with Osprey Foundation President Joanie Millward and Michael Academia, an Osprey researcher, for an update on how the Osprey are faring and a preview of some festival events. The interview is part of our Talk of the Town series. It will air the next 2 weeks –
- Thursday at 8PM
- Saturday at 9AM
April 6 will be the final broadcast for this interview, which includes a discussion about a new documentary entitled “Growing Up Osprey”. The film will premiere on April 6, 3:30PM at the Icehouse Brewery.
The Osprey Festival itself will be the following Saturday, April 13 on Town Hill. There are lots of events related to the Festival both before and after April 13. You can check the Virginia Osprey Foundation website for full details.
