Volunteers who donate!
Written by Ted Tait on May 28, 2024
Donations to our studio project have slowed the last few weeks, but we have had a lot of generous people step up. Last week two more donations came in, including $500 from on air volunteer Jack Mortimer. We have such a wonderful and dedicated group of volunteers who give both time and money to help make WWER a success. There aren’t many jobs that will put you to work and let you pay for the privilege! But all joking aside, that’s the kind of dedication we get and appreciate so much.
Another example is Dave Loudin who does those weather forecasts you hear at the top of each hour. Dave is a bit of an unsung hero in my opinion. He has been with us from the start, and our June 1 anniversary will mark 5 continuous years of Dave doing the weather. He has not missed a single day in all those years! Whether it’s before he goes to work, or while he is on vacation, Dave wakes up at 5AM to voice our weather forecast each day. That’s dedication! And like most of us, he also donates money too.
So thanks again to Jack, Dave and everyone. We are now at 77% of our goal.
