Remembering Charlie Wilson

This weekend marks one year since we lost Charlie Wilson.  Charlie was a founding member of WWER and integral to getting WWER on the air.  He set up and programmed the automation system that runs our programming, he did several radio shows himself, and was key to creating the unique sound you hear on 88.1FM.  He died on Sept. 4 2020.

This weekend, we reflect on everything Charlie did for us.  He recruited many of our show producers and guided them on how to make a radio show.  One of the people he recruited and mentored is Bill Calder.  Bill has produced a special tribute edition of Calder’s Collection this week.  You can hear it Sunday night at 9PM, Tuesday at 5AM and again Tuesday at 11PM.
