A busy Autumn
Written by Ted Tait on October 5, 2023
We are well past Labor Day, and while there aren’t as many people at the beach, there is still plenty to do in Colonial Beach! At WWER.org we’ve recently begun publishing some events on our website upcoming events page. You’ll see the next event (or three) on the front page, and more on the upcoming events page. Click any of them for more info.
October is looking busy….
- This Saturday at 4PM is the Local Vocals Karaoke concert at the Community Center. It’s a fundraiser in support of the Community Center and CB Kids.
- Oct. 13-15 – A Wellness Retreat at the Riverview Inn
- Oct. 15 from 1-4PM – A Karen Jonas concert & fundraiser for Community Heart & Soul
- Oct. 21 at 5pm – The 9th Annual Halloween Golf Cart Parade
- Week of Oct. 23 – The first annual Colonial Beach restaurant week
I hope you get a chance to enjoy all that CB has to offer!
If you decide to stay home, we always have great WWER music each weekend and our talk shows.
- Porch Talk – A rerun of our popular talk with renowned author Sherryl Woods. Oct 5 at 8PM/Oct. 7 at 9AM.
- Town Matters – Our monthly Q&A with mayor Robin Schick. We spent some time talking about the new trash toters and budget. Oct 12 at 8PM/Oct. 14 at 9AM.
