Join us Saturday at 6PM for a cookout

Things are starting to come together. Our acting program director Tom Larson, has been hard at work planning interesting shows for WWER. Of course, he is not alone. We have some enthusiastic individuals coming up with program ideas and already starting to make test recordings of shows (basically pilot shows). I’d like to single out Charlie Wilson and Dave Tucker in particular for their hard work on program development and technical matters so far. We’ll send more out about that later, and start teasing you with show descriptions soon!

For now, we want to continue to get the word out about the station to everyone – listeners, volunteers, local businesses and other non-profit groups. We also want to invite you to keep up your interest in WWER. On May 11 at 6PM the Colonial Beach Community Foundation has invited everyone in Colonial Beach to a cookout at the Community Center. Perhaps you received the oversized post card in the mail as well? We hope you will be able to attend! WWER will have a table there to promote and introduce the radio station to our neighbors.

We’d love for you to stop by and catch you up on how things are progressing. Bring your friends and neighbors too! After the picnic, it will be another night of cinema on the green, with the movie “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” being shown at dusk. We hope you can make it!
- The Community Center is at 717 Marshall Ave. Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
