Lawn Signs

Spring is here, and the lawn sign are sprouting again!  We have a new batch of WWER lawn signs available.  If you want one, email [email protected] with your address and we will get you one!  Our last batch of signs was a great success for promoting WWER and very popular with listeners.  We’d also love to get something bigger (think small billboard)  on 205 as you come into town for visitors to spot and tune in!

Speaking of promotions, we are also looking for volunteers to help with promotions like the billboard I just mentioned.  We want to grow WWER and need people with ideas and energy to promote us near and far.  Now that you can listen to WWER on Amazon devices, Roku, Sonos, and TuneIn we want to grow our streaming audience.

Last, but not least, a quick mention of things coming up on and off the air at 88.1FM:

Saturday morning at 9AM you can again listen to our Town Matters interview with India Adams-Jacobs (Town Manager) and Greg Deaver, our new Chief of Police.  India tells us about town finances and projects in the works. Greg talks about his experience so far after just a few weeks on the job and his policing style.

Greg spoke a lot about working with the community and it looks like he is already implementing that style.  On Wednesday, April 20, members of the Colonial Beach Police will be participating in “Coffee with a Cop” at Colonial Buzz Espresso Bar from 8AM to 10:30AM.  It’s a chance to have a one on one conversation with an officer and ask questions or voice concerns. “The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve”.   Sounds like a great way to get to know each other better!  You can find out more on CB Police Facebook page.
