Moving day
Written by Ted Tait on March 11, 2022
This weekend, you will hear some disruptions on air. We are moving our studios on Sunday morning to a temporary home while the renovations start on our Hawthorn Street location.
- On 88.1FM there will be a few brief interruptions, but we will stay on air with music. Some of our regular announcements like weather won’t run for part of the day.
- Online, our stream will stop working while we do the move. We will email folks who have subscribed to our email list when the work is completed and the stream is back online. You can subscribe to that list here. We expect the downtime to be a couple of hours.
We are working with Dodson Development in the hope of finding a new permanent home in one of their renovated buildings, but we are also looking for opportunities elsewhere. If you know of a space that we could occupy for little or no cost (we are a 501(c)3 non-profit and you may be able to take a tax deduction for doing so), please get in touch! You can email me directly [email protected].
Speaking of the Dodson project, I spoke with Duke Dodson to get an update on where things stand as phase 2 gets under way. You can hear that interview on Town Matters, Saturday at 9AM. At 11AM Saturday, tune in for our next installment of the Perfect Hour. This week’s guest DJ is Nancy Busick.
