On the Air Again, and Stronger
Written by Tom Larson on June 6, 2019
At about 8:00am this morning (Thu June 6th), WWER returned to the air with our replacement transmitter. It appears that our signal is significantly stronger than it was over the weekend — with a reach of nearly 10 miles! So that’s awesome.
What’s a little less awesome are the occasional drop outs we’re having. We are quite sure those are not transmitter-related. It appears to be an issue with the internet service at our studio. We are working to isolate that issue and correct it as well. Thank you all for your patience and ongoing support!

That is some loaner transmitter you have. I drove down to Heathsville this evening and was able to hear us clearly to Flat Iron and past that it was weak but I could hear the broadcast in front of the county high school…with static. On the way back I tuned in about Flat Iron and the signal got clear a little this side of the state park.

Thanks for the report Jack. FYI, when our old transmitter is repaired, it should work just as well!

This morning I had a clear signal all the way to the Walmart in King George.
