River Festival 2024

We have an exciting weekend ahead! The 73rd annual Potomac River Festival kicks off Friday evening with the Fire fighter’s parade at 7:30 (bring your ear plugs!) and continues with fun events all weekend. WWER will be participating by announcing the boats at the boat parade hosted by the Colonial Yacht Club. While you can view the boats from most anywhere along the route, the best view is at Town Pier where we will tell you about each boat. The parade starts at 1PM Sunday. If you’re not watching at the Pier, tune in the WWER for some boat themed music during the parade to get you in the right mood!
Our weather announcer Dave Loudin is calling for some nice weather, so we should be able to enjoy all that the festival has to offer! Hope to see you there!
